Alan Banks - One of Exeter City's leading all-time goalscorers, and was voted the fans' favourite in a PFA poll in 2007 - currently heads the former players' association.

Darren Rowbotham - One of three players to have scored 100 goals for Exeter - many of which came in the 1989/90 promotion-winning team.

1980/81 - Glorious FA Cup run that took Division Three Exeter City to the quarter-final, defeating Leicester City and Newcastle United en route.

1989/90 - Undefeated at home all season (20 wins from 23), as Terry Cooper's Exeter lifted the Fourth Division title.

2008/09 - In the first season back in The Football League after being relegated in 2003, Paul Tisdale guided Exeter to a second consecutive promotion to reach League 1 by finished second in League 2.

The nominees were: 

Paul Tisdale - Current manager, since 2006.  Led Exeter from the Conference National to League 1 with successive promotions.

Terry Cooper - Guided the Grecians to promotion and the Fourth Division title in 1990 in the first of two spells as manager.

Brian Godfrey - Led Exeter to the sixth round of the FA Cup for only the second time in their history in 1981 and finished eighth in the third tier - the club's highest ever League finish.

John Newman - 10-year spell with Exeter as a player and manager and led Exeter to promotion from the Fourth Division in 1977.
