Sean Gregan - The two time Player of the Year nicknamed 'God' was iconic due to his no nonsense playing style.

Graham Alexander - 'Grezza' played over 400 matches for PNE during two spells. The Scotland international signed off his playing career by scoring a free kick with his last kick of the ball against Charlton Athletic.

Tony Ellis - Ellis was another to have two spells at Deepdale winning the Player of the Year award twice in his second spell. In total, he amassed an incredible 88 goals in 194 appearances for PNE.

Brian Mooney - After arriving on loan from Liverpool, North End paid £25,000 for the Irish youth international who made 128 appearances and scored 26 goals for North End, winning the Player of the Year award in 1988/89.
